Bayelsa State delegates to the recently concluded National Conference have presented a copy of the recommendations of the conference to Governor Seriake Dickson.
The delegates presented the resolutions to Dickson at the Government House, Yenagoa, at the weekend, according to a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Iworiso-Markson.
The conference began on March 17 and ended on August 14 while President Goodluck Jonathan received its report on August 21.
Leader of the state’s delegates, Lawrence Ekpebu, while presenting the report, urged governors, the National Assembly and interest groups to advocate for the implementation of 18 per cent derivation fund to oil-producing states, among other recommendations contained in the report.
