The aggrieved Lagos resident disclosed that though he reported the situation to an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and a police officer on Wednesday, yet neither looked into the report or took action to resolve the situation, despite the fact that the area is popular for trade and transport.

SaharaReporters learned today that a number of corpses have been decomposing along Iyana Iba Road, Ojo Local Government Area, Lagos State. Reported by a concerned citizen, the bodies have allegedly been laying alongside the busy roadway, just opposite the gates of Lagos State University.
"Yesterday I reported the mess to a LASTMA official and a police officer at Iyana Iba Road," our source said. "They both acted like it was none of their business."
No action was also taken by the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), who our source saw and photographed driving past the corpses Thursday morning.
"I really do not know how these guys died; but it appears they have been dead for days and no government agency nor LGA bureaucrat bothered to move the mess," out source said. "They were left rotting by the roadside."
