Lagos hosts leading ICT summit

Lagos - Organisers of the upcoming Nigeria Com have lined up 40 industry experts to make presentations at the event whose preparations have gathered pace.

The conference, which is among the biggest information and communications technology summit in West Africa, is scheduled for the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos next Tuesday to Wednesday.

Organisers disclosed the speakers were drawn from the dominant companies in the mobile network sector, technology firms and the banking industry among other spheres of business.

Among these are senior officials from MTN Nigeria, Airtel, Smile Communications, IPNX Nigeria, Central Bank of Nigeria, iROKO Partners, Etisalat, Standard Bank and the Ekiti State Government.

Informa, the United Kingdom-based organisers are confident of a successful event with a number of new innovations prepared for the conference.

These include the Long Term Evolution (LTE) Showcase, an event that will highlight 4G/LTE breakthroughs in Nigeria and their immediate impact on the market, as well as the Chief Information Officer Forum, which aims to help Nigerian businesses transform into efficient digital enterprises.

"All tech leaders and IT officers from large enterprises will come together to better manage the four pillars of transformation: mobile, social, big data and cloud," organisers stated.
