Nigeria reaches deal with Boko Haram over abducted girls

ABUJA Oct 17 (Reuters) - Nigeria's government has reached a deal with Islamic militant group Boko Haram for a cease-fire and the release of around 200 girls kidnapped six months ago from a school in the northeast town of Chibok, a presidency source said on Friday.

"The Nigerian government has reached two agreements with the Boko Haram group. Firstly a cease-fire agreement and then the release of the abducted Chibok girls," the source told Reuters.
