Several Students Killed As Bomb Rips Through Science High School In Potiskum

A suicide bomber  sent by Boko Haram sect has killed  several students at the Government Comprehensive  Secondary Science School in Pokistum, Yobe state.

A military officer in Damaturu confirmed to SaharaReporters by telephone, according to him, a bomb exploded during a daily morning assembly with hundreds of students in attendance.

 "We are on our way but this is a preliminary report we got from troops on the ground. And I will brief you more, please."

The military source said over 30 bodies of students and teachers lay in the assembly area   with many others sustaining injuries.

Other schools in the area have been closed down.
