Afenifere Youths Tell Obasanjo to Dump PDP For APC

The Afenifere Renaissance Youth Congress (ARYG) has called on former President Olusegun Obasanjo to defect from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to DAILY POST, the group said it was better for Obasanjo to defect from PDP instead of causing the party damage from inside.

ARYG leader, Mr. Abimbola Owolabi, said it was difficult to believe that Obasanjo was still a member of the PDP.

Owolabi said, "Obasanjo is not only denigrating the presidency, the person of Jonathan and the ruling party, which he claims to be a member by his constant lies, unwarranted attacks and mischievous blackmail to portray President Jonathan as weak, corrupt and dictatorial, but also manifestly executing the propaganda of the APC".
