GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state on Friday asserted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has now been transformed into a mega party in the state following the harmonization of the state executive committee.
The governor led the newly harmonized executive committee to the national headquarters of the party in Abuja where they took their oath of office before the national leadership.
The executive committee was harmonized following the recent defection of the governor and his supporters from the Labour Party (LP) to the PDP which had initially caused some crisis in the PDP.
The governor was confident that the inauguration of the new leadership has ended all previous litigation instituted by members of the party in the court of law.
Mimiko said as the general election draws near the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party should endeavour to verify their facts before acting on complaints from party members in the state in order to avoid what he said was duplication of party platforms.
