NCPC boss tasks pilgrims on prayer for Nigeria

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), John Kennedy Opara, has urged intending Pilgrims from the FCT for the 2014 Christian pilgrimage to pray for the leadership and peace of Nigeria while in the Holy Land.

Opara gave the charge during the official flag-off of the screening exercise for the 2014 pilgrimage at the FCT Pilgrim Welfare Board, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

Represented by the Federal Commissioner, North Central, Helen Uneku Ughoro, Opara commended the FCT Pilgrim Welfare Board for flagging off this year’s screening exercise and ensuring that the Commission works in line with the 2014 calendar of activities.

He explained that Nigerian Christians do not need to go to Israeli, Italian and Greece embassies for visa interview because the embassies have entrusted faith to Nigeria Christians through NCPC.

He further explained that the Commission has created new screening mechanism that would help it to identify those with dubious intentions that are working against its goals.
